Butterfly/Infant:
The infant room had a wonderful month of sensory experiences! The children have painted, colored and even tore paper. The children loved the sound of the various types of paper as they made completely different sounds. As the weather has changed and the sun is not as hot the children have explored the great outdoors and taking buggy rides. A special thank you to all of our parents who helped with fall festival. You are great!

The month of October was fun and exciting. We learned about Fall and Safety! We did a lot of hands on activities such as dressing up like firefighters and police officers. We would like to thank all the parents for participating in fall festival. We had so much fun trunk or treating!

This month was so exciting! We learned about Fall and Safety. During safety week we had a visit from the fire department. They taught us about fire safety and showed us their cool truck! We especially liked learning all the different types of fire fighting equipment. We did exercises like pretended to call 911 in case of an emergency. We learned about the different parts of a pumpkin and even decorated one in class. We had a ball on our field trip to Connor’s A-Maize-Ing Acres. We walked in the corn maze and took hay rides. We ended the month with our Trunk-or-Treat Fall Festival.. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers for your help.

This month we are excited to learn about farm life and Thanksgiving! We have lots of festive sensory activities in store for this month. Last month, the children enjoyed learning about Safety. Our fall festival was an amazing event. The children enjoyed dressing up in their costumes and collecting candy. This month the children will learn about the importance of Thanksgiving, pumpkins, apples, and life on the farm.

Pawsomes/Threes
This month we talked about trees, leaves, squirrels, acorns, pumpkins, apples, fire safety, and we did LOTS of Halloween activities. We talked about the life of a tree, why leaves change colors and why squirrels like acorns. We learned about fire safety and what to do in case of a fire. We had a visit from the fire department. They showed us all their different equipment and even went up the fire truck ladder for us. We ended things off with our fall festival! We dressed up and played all types of games before going trunk or treating in the parking lot.

Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and joy. A time of food, family, and counting our blessings. But, not everyone is as blessed as we. Part of being thankful for our good fortune is using that to help others.
Parks’ Place will be collecting food items to distribute to needy families. Please, help us to help them have something for which they can truly be thankful.
This is a wonderful opportunity to explore all the things your family is thankful for with your child.
