Butterfly Infant

Butterfly/Infant:

Summer is going by so fast. We have been enjoying our Summer learning about dinosaurs, different states and even technology. We also enjoyed some outdoor activities. The babies really enjoyed buggy rides. We had a great time learning songs, colors and letters. The children also enjoyed making finger painting art and making personalized cards for Father’s day. This month we continue to introduce new colors and shapes. Our babies have also are enjoying floor time learning and tum-my time. We are really excited about all the new things we will learn in July.

Grasshopper Twos

Grasshopper/Twos

Our little Grasshoppers had such a wonderful month! They helped celebrate graduation with the VPK classes. We created a delightful gift for dad for Fathers’ day. The grasshopper’s have been discovering all types of dinosaurs. We made dinosaur footprints and we also made dinosaurs of our own. In the month of June we also learned about technology and two of our great states. For Technology week we made our own touchscreen cell phones. They liked talking on the phone. We made our own laptops and went on “Skype”. We also danced to music from the radio. We look forward to more fun in the month of July.

VPK News

VPK A/B

We had a very exciting month. June began with new students and a new challenge for us. We introduced the theme “All about me” where we talked about family, feelings, and friends. We introduced the alphabet, colors, shapes, and numbers. We practiced the names and traced letters of the week. We have started writing our first and last names and learning sight words as well as compound words. Also, we talked about weather, dinosaurs, transportation, and technology. We have been enjoying fun art activities like making dinosaur footprints, making televisions and cellphones. In our cooking project we learned about our five senses, we tasted foods that were sour, salty, and sweet for our five senses. We are looking forward to a very exciting Summer in VPK.

Busy Bee Ones

Busy Bees/Ones

June has been a great month in the busy bees room. We started off with welcoming Summer with learning about Summer Fun. We made sunglasses, pails and shovels and did a lot of finger painting. We learned about two different states. The children painted their own gold rings. The busy bees were excited to take home their Father’s Day cards they made just for Dad. We read about dinosaurs and had a lot of fun making footprints and learning to move like dinosaurs. During Technology week we enjoyed making laptops and learning about satellites in outer space. We sang songs and explored letters, shapes, colors and numbers this month. We are having so much fun learning and reading. We can’t wait to see what is in store for us in July.
