Classroom News

Butterfly/Infant:
December was an exciting time for our babies! We had a great time learning about the Christmas season and the many different ways to celebrate the season. The infants enjoyed painting Christmas trees\and we had loads of fun on the floor playing during tummy time. We read a lot of Christmas books and danced to Christmas songs. Santa also came to visit us, and we had a fun time saying “hi”. Happy New Year!

Grasshopper/Twos
For the month of December our class has showed improvement in their colors, shapes numbers and all my girls are potty trained. The children are taking home what they have learned in class, and parents are seeing it and are happy that their children are learning so much. I appreciate all the support the parents are giving in helping the children learn so much, and I also am thankful for the recognition from them in how my hard work teaching them all they have learned this past month.

VPK News
We started the month off with ‘Christmas around the World’ where we visited different countries and learned how they celebrate Christmas. During December we had fun activities and days where we wore Santa hats, ugly sweaters and red shirts. We kicked Christmas off with the lighting of the Christmas Tree, next was Santa’s Workshop where the children got to shop for gifts for family and friends, then we had our Picture Day and also had our Polar Express/Pajama Day Party. Thank you to the parents who helped out in VPK, we really appreciate you so much, we have such great parents. Thank you.

Busy Bees/Ones
The Busy Bees are as busy as can be! December was a most exciting month for us. It was a great time to learn about the Christmas season. We made ornaments, colored candy canes and made Christmas cards for our family, and colored a lot of pages that described what Christmas was like in other countries. We painted and decorated gingerbread men and made Christmas trees and glued them on plates. Our fun continued when Santa Claus visited us, and we got to tell him what we wanted. We can’t wait to see what exciting things are going to happen in January.

Pawsomes/Threes
This past month of December in our Threes class, the children learned about our ‘Christmas Around the World’ celebration. They enjoyed coloring in the Christmas book we had to go along with the celebration, and we also sang many Christmas songs too. The children pulled names for their Secret Santa exchanges for Christmas and enjoyed the gift of giving gifts to each other during this Christmas season. We all enjoyed our Polar Express/ Pajama Party, and all had fun meeting Santa and telling him what we wanted for Christmas.
