Butterfly Infant

Butterfly/Infant:

We had an exciting month. We enjoyed the warm days with buggy rides and stayed nice and warm inside on the cold days. We sang songs and used puppets to sing songs about the weather, and also about healthy habits. We look forward to another exciting month in February.

Grasshopper/Twos

January was a busy month in the Grasshopper class. The children learned so much about weather and how to dress appropriately for weather conditions. We heard a story about a man who had a dream. His name was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We had a cooking project making a rainbow salad and it was really good! In February we will celebrate Valentine’s Day, the 100th Day of School, President’s Day and Black History. Our shape for this month is the heart. We will learn about forests and safari animals.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was celebrated in our class with a birthday party including hats and banners.  We even made a special friendship snack mix in his honor. We ended the month learning about healthy habits. We talked about eating healthy and washing our hands to remove germs. In February we will be studying forest and safari animals, as well as, celebrating Black History Month and a visit from the dental van.
